Currently, I'm offering only telehealth therapy appointments for adults 18+, both individually or as a couple. Take a look below at some of the different specialties of expertise I can offer from a clinical lense/perspective.
SPECIALTIES
TRAUMA, PTSD, AND STRESS
You'll learn psychoeducation behind trauma (the differences between "Big T" and "Little t" traumas), triggers that may lead to you feeling that you're "re-experiencing" the event, how it effects your nervous system, and the perception of the world around you in the aftermath.
ANXIETY
You'll learn effective coping skills to handle anxiety in a variety of settings, such as general anxiety, internal anxiety, social anxiety, and how to not let anxiety, or intrusive thoughts, feel as though they're running your life using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) modalities.
RELATIONSHIP ISSUES
Sometimes we may not realize we are repeating negative or unhealthy patterns in relationships or "choosing the wrong people." We'll discuss different topics such as effective communication skills, healing after break of trust or infidelity, managing co-depedency, learing attachment styles, and learning what our "love languages" are and how to use them effectively (especially if it doesn't match our partner's).
LIFE TRANSITIONS
Major life transitions can bring about extreme anxiety and the feeling of instability. Often, we need extra support through these difficult moments, even if these moments are supposed to be "happy" (such as marriage, moving to a new place, getting a new job, changing careers entirely, etc.)
DEPRESSION
Depression can occur from a specific instance happening in life or from a chemical imbalance in your brain. We'll discuss events that have surrounded the lead up to your depression symptoms and you'll receive guidance on how to move forward in handling these symptoms, whether through medication management or non-medication strategies.
RELIGION / SPIRITUALITY
Some of us grew up identifying with specific religions. Some of us still practice those religious beliefs, while some of us do not. If you had a negative and impactful experience with religion or spirituality, or are looking to add these to your life, therapy can help you find meaning in each of these.
STRESS MANAGEMENT
Stress is inevitable. There's good and bad stress. Too much bad stress can have negative chronic effects long term. Learn how to effectively manage your stress through different tools and strategies, both for the mind and the body
GRIEF & LOSS
Grief and loss can mean different things, such as having to process the physical loss of a loved one (family member, friend, or pet) or having to process the emotional loss of something (a relationship, a job, or maybe an internal identity of yourself).
COMPLEX FAMILY DYNAMICS
We will discuss different topics that have led to or influenced the family dynamic you may have been raised in such as boundary setting, understanding generational patterns, communication skills, birth order, gender differences, and cultural differences.
ESA LETTERS
In order for me to write an ESA letter, I require that you are an already established client I have been seeing consistently. We will discuss the terms of the letter, and I will provide the letter for an additional fee to your scheduled appointment.
